Wild Waves Theme & Water Park is an amusement park located in Federal Way, Washington. It contains the largest water park in the area and features four roller coasters. Wild Waves is also the only major theme park in the state of Washington and is a popular summer destination in the Pacific Northwest
History[]
The park was first opened in 1977 as The Enchanted Village, located in the Federal Way suburb of Seattle. In 1984, Wild Waves Water Park was opened next to The Enchanted Village and the combined complex became known as "Enchanted Parks".[1]
In late 2000, the property was acquired by Six Flags Theme Parks, which invested $25 million into the parks' attractions and began branding them as a Six Flags park in the following season.[2] However, it was sold off with other Six Flags parks to CNL Income Properties in 2007 and became known as Wild Waves Theme Park.[3]
CNL briefly rebranded the theme and water parks separately by their original names at the beginning of the 2016 season.[1] However, it reverted back the combined name of "Wild Waves Theme & Water Park" when CNL sold it along with a package of other resorts to EPR Properties in transaction that closed on April 6, 2017.[4] Premier Parks began managing the park for EPR during the 2017 season.[5]
Closure[]
On December 10, 2025, Premier Parks president Kieran Burke announced that Wild Waves Theme Park would be open for its final season from May 23 to November 1, 2026, after which it would close permanently due to increased costs after the COVID-19 pandemic.[6]
