Walibi Belgium, formerly Walibi Wavre and then Six Flags Belgium, is a Belgian theme park located in Wavre, close to Brussels.

History[]

During the 1998 to 2004 period, the park was owned by Six Flags, Inc, an American theme park operator. It was later sold to Palamon Capital Partners. As of 2006, the park is owned and operated, along with Paris' Parc Astérix, by CDA Parks (a division of Compagnie des Alpes). The Walibi name is a syllabic abbreviation of the three towns in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant, where the park is located: Wavre, Limal and Bierges.

Notes[]

  1. SBNO from 2002 to 2006.
  2. Last operated in 2017. The coaster was to be relocated toward the front of the park together with a large overhaul and retheming of that area, but this never materialized.
  3. Originally intended for a 2006 opening. Due to technical problems, the opening was delayed until 2007.
