Vortex was an Arrow Dynamics sit-down roller coaster lorcated at Kings Island in Mason, Ohio. When it opened in 1987, it held the records for most inversions and tallest roller coaster. It held these records for one year before being surpassed by Shockwave at Six Flags. On Septemper 27, 2019, park officials annouced that Vortex was getting removed from the park at end of the 2019 Season on October 27, 2019.
