COASTER-net Park Gallery Project
Greetings, fellow Coasterpedians! There is a new project for us, from our affiliate, COASTER-net. Their Park Gallery is going to be essentially rewritten, and its current content deleted. The new editor is COASTERnet.
The list of articles we can add is found here: http://coaster-net.com/park-gallery/
COASTERnet and I will be adding the list in alphabetical order (from both ends), so if you'd like to help out, please feel free to jump into the middle of the list.
2013 Spotlight Photos
It's almost that time of year when the parks from around the world begin to open up full-time. That also means that it's time for our wiki to try for a Wikia spotlight!
If you have a picture you think we should use, please post it below! Keep in mind that the final image will be 255x123 (give or take a pixel or two (don't resize it yourself, Wikia will handle that))
Standard Page Outline
, the future "model article".]]We've had numerous discussions over how to format a page here, and it has been changed so much! Change is a good thing, but it has its downsides too...
As it is right now, there are about five different styles of pages here on the wiki; the old infobox, the new infobox, the old category structure, the new category structure, logos at the top, endless variations!
As soon as possible, I'm asking fellow Coasterpedians to edit just one article on a coaster. Collaborate, and perfect it so that we have a standard format set. From there, we can use that article as a standard on which to base all our future articles.
The article to work on will be Balder. Let me know if you have questions or suggestions, and feel free to…
Being the Top-Contributor
I believe this image does a good job summarizing my feelings about Lachlan's rapidly increasing edit count. You're doing such an awesome job, Lachlan... ...And I fear I won't be the top-contributor here for long. :P
Where to Put the Logo
Hello all! I've noticed that Lachlan has been finding rides' official logos, and adding them to the coasters' pages. Great! Only problem is, where should they be placed on the page?
Currently, they are being placed at the top of the page, left of the infobox, and above all the text. I've never seen a wiki formatted this way, so is that OK? We do need to remain as professional as possible.
I think the logo would be better suited in the infobox under the ride's name. I'll use Air as an example page. For comparison, see Goliath (Six Flags Magic Mountain), which uses the current in-article version.
Go check them out and help decide! Thank you!
