Spinball Whizzer is a Sit-Down Spinning roller coaster located at Alton Towers, UK. It was manufactured by Maurer Söhne. The name is a pun on "pinball wizard", which is also the title of a song by British rock band The Who.

Trains

8 single-car trains. Each car has four seats making for 950 riders per hour.

Theme

• When the ride opened in 2004, it was themed as a giant pinball machine. This theme was changed when SEGA sponsored the ride in 2010. It was then themed around Sonic the Hedgehog. In 2016, the coaster reverted to the Spinball Whizzer theming after the sponsorship with SEGA ended.
