A sit-downroller coaster is a steel roller coaster that does not have a specialized riding position. This does not include wooden roller coasters, since they are a category of their own.
Seating, formally called the "V" Seat is two seats positioned side-by-side in the front, and two completely separated from each other in the back. In this arrangement, all riders have increased visibility. The first coaster ever to use this seating is the Behemoth, Canada's Wonderland, Ontario. p
This style of seating is notable on many Intamin accelerator coasters. There are 4 seats in one car, but the 2 back seats are raised a few inches.
