Roton Point is a beach located in Norwalk, Connecticut, United States which used to operate an amusement park.

The park had two roller coasters over its lifetime, those being Big Dipper and Skylark, which were both wooden coasters.

The beach's amusement park would operate from the 1880s until 1941.

History

The park would open during the 1880s and would open their first roller coaster, Big Dipper, in 1914 and was originally known as Tango Dip. The coaster would operate up until 1933.

In 1924, Tango Dip's length and drop would be made longer and would be renamed into Big Dipper.

The following year in 1934, Skylark would open as the park's second coaster.

On September 21, 1938, the park would get damaged from the "Great New England Hurricane", 2 days before dissipating.

3 years later in 1941, Skylark would close down along with the park.
