Mondo Verde is a dutch theme park,located in Landgraaf in Limburg.Mondo Verde is mainly displays with international gardens with corresponding cultue.Guests can also see a wide variety of animals here.
History[]
Mondo Verde opened on March 2002 on a site of an old stone mountain.The park was created by the Belgian Jon Nonneman on behaif of Ger Van Ingen,the owner of the Kasteel Arcen.The terrail was originally 70 m high,but was flattened to 40 m and terraces were laid on it.Beacuse of the dissapointment with the number of visitors,the original company declared bankrupt at the end of 2006,which led to brand new owners to take on the park,those were Bert and Klaas,Bert and Kaas are also the owners of Kinderstad Heerlan,another Dutch park.Despite the limited opening hours,Mondo Verde never really closed,but was officialy reopened on April 1,2008.Bert and Klaas expanded the park ever since with new animals and new attractions,including a small Zeirer Tivoli Coaster.Over the years the park became more attractive to famillies.Protests are coming from the circle of annual card holders who live in the neigborhood and only want to walk to Mondo Verde.

There is the park coaster,Wilde Tjiger Achtbaan.The coaster was first build in 1977 and operated in Lisberg under the name of Lilla Bergabanan.A circus theme was given to the Lilla Bergbanan for the 1986 season when it became the Cirkusexpressen later.However the coaster was moved to the park in 11.4.2009 and is still in operation.In September 2019, the Wilde Tijger Achtbaan was operating with only 12 of its 15 cars.
