Mild Thing was a steel kiddie roller coaster located at Valleyfair in Shakopee, Minnesota.
History[]
Mild Thing first opened in 1976 as the Mine Train, but this name was changed some time later to Kiddie Coaster. With the opening of the parks new hyper roller coaster, Wild Thing in 1996, the name was changed to Mild Thing, as play on words.
The ride ceased operation in 2010 and was replaced by the Cosmic Coaster.
Design[]
The Mild Thing is an example of the common Little Dipper model manufactured by the Allan Herschell Company, wich follows a standard layout with a single chain lift hill and several bunny hills making the oval layout.
