Leap-The-Dips is a wooden side friction roller coaster located at Lakemont Park in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Opened in 1902, the ride is currently the oldest roller coaster in operation. It was designated a U.S. National Historic Landmark on October 9, 1960. [1]

Leap-The-Dips features a simple design consisting of ten foot drops followed by a turnaround.
Trains[]
Leap-the-Dips has only 1 single-car train with 4 seats. Although Riders-per-Hour hasn't been recorded for this ride, it would be very low.
Problems[]
Recently Leap-the-Dips has been suffering from problems, typical of a ride this age. The wooden supports for the sides of the track often need replacing, and often the cars will stall before completing the ride. However performance has improved since 2005.
