Kuwait Entertainment City (Arabic: مدينة الكويت الترفيهية) is an amusement park located in North West Al-Sulaibikhat in Al Asimah, Kuwait. The park first opened on March 14th, 1984, and again in 1994. The park is operated by the Touristic Enterprises Company.

The park currently has 3 roller coasters, those being Flying Dragon, Lightning and Oasis Express.

The park has been standing but not operating since June 6th, 2016 for renovations.

Operating Schedule

The park is open for every day except Saturday due to religious reasons.

For Mondays, the day is dedicated to women only.

History

Oasis Express, which is the park's oldest coaster, opened in 1981. Which was 3 years before the park opened. The coaster was manufactured by now defunct German manufacturer Schwarzkopf.

Kuwait Entertainment City would later open for the first time on March 14th, 1984. But later in 1990, the park would close due to the occupation of Kuwait conducted by Iraq.

In 1994, the park would open again for the second time. 10 years later in 2004, Kuwait Entertainment City would open Lightning, which is a Bolliger & Mabillard inverted coaster model. The coaster is a clone of the Batman The Ride coasters at Six Flags' parks.

3 years later in 2007, Flying Dragon would open to the public, the coaster is a Force One model by Zierer, another German manufacturer.

On June 6th, 2016, the park would close for a second time due to renovation work, this meant the coasters would stop operating temporarily.

As of May 2020, the park is still standing but not operating.
