Kumbak is a Dutch amusement ride manufacturing company which specialises in upgrading existing rides and roller coasters built by other manufacturers. They also manufacture their own rides and trains.

History[]

Kumbak (originally Kumbak Coasters) was formed on November 14, 2001 just months after the bankruptcy of roller coaster manufacturer Vekoma. The company was formed by nine former Vekoma employees, and grew to 16 employees in less than a month.[1] Their first project was an evacuation platform for Fly the Great Nor'Easter at Morey's Piers. Since then, the company has carried out complete overhauls of several rides built by other companies[2] as well as designing their own water coaster and dark rides.
