Formula One was a compressed air launch roller coaster located at Pattaya Park Funny Land. The manufacturer of the ride is still unknown as of 2013, though it was said to have been built in-house. It was constructed in 1999, but has never opened to the public.
The launch track was removed as of 2013, but the tower still remains standing.
Design[]
Formula One features a design similar to the two Intamin Reverse Freefall roller coasters, Superman: Escape From Krypton, and Tower of Terror II. Comparing Formula One to other Reverse Freefall coasters, one may notice that the ascending curve has a remarkably low radius. Should the car travel near the top of the structure, riders would be subject to uncomfortably high forces.
