Expedition Everest is a Vekoma mine train roller coaster located at Disney's Animal Kingdom in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The ride takes place on a 200 foot (61 meter) tall artificial mountain.
Design[]
Expedition Everest begins with a lift hill that travels up the snowy mountain. After some drops and curves, the ride travels up the lift hill and stops there momentarily. At this time, the transfer tracks below switch, and the trains then falls backwards through a new section of track. Next, the ride is held up at another transfer track, where it falls forwards into the rest of the ride.
