Dragon Roller Coaster is a family Suspended coaster opened in June 4, 2015 at the Polish theme park, Energylandia. It is the first Suspended coaster in Poland, which means that the train moves suspended under the track. Dragon Roller Coaster is one of nine identical installations of the Vekoma Suspended Family Coaster 453 m model- four were build in China, two in Vietnam, One in Denmark and one in the USA.
Trip description[]
The track is less than half a kilometer long, runs close to the ground and elements of the queue structure, partly also underground - the train passes through a short tunnel just after the first drop. The tunnel during the train journey is smoky by the smoke generator. There are two above-ground tunnels created by decoration elements on the route of the queue.
Thematization[]
The main element of the queue's decor is the dragon's head, through which the train passes just after the first drop. Green track, blue supports.
Reception[]
Dragon Roller Coaster took 7th place in the 'European Star Award ' ranking of the ten best new roller coasters in Europe built in 2015.
Incidents[]
- On May 27, 2015, even before the coaster opened, an accident occured, which seriously injured a 35 year old empolyee performing garden work in the queue. He found himself in an unacceptable place during the test run and collided with an empty train.
