Comet is a steel coaster, located in the France amusent park, Walygator Parc. The coaster opened on May 9, 1989 and was manufactured by Vekoma.
History[]
Comet opened in 1989 under the name of "Comet Space". In that time the park was named "Big Bang Schtroumph". The attraction was located in the area "Metal Planet", now renamed to "Space World".
The roller coaster was manufactured by Vekoma and the only copy of the Hurricane model. A second copy was in 1996 at Six Flags Fiesta Texas under the name of "Joker's Revenge". This coaster moved in 2003 to Six Flags New Orleans Under the name "Jester". It has been closed since the devastating results of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Following the change of the park to Walygator Parc in 2007, the coaster renamed to "Wally Coaster" in 2008.The same year, the coaster also got repainted into it's more famous color scheme.
In 2013, two fireplaces from the former Hagondange rolling mills were removed.Located in the center of the tendrills, they were a tribute to the iron and steel industry. In 2014, the attraction was named to the well known name, Comet.

The Vertical loop
First the trains leaves the station, climbs the Lift Hill, after that the trains makes a U-turn into the right and then into the main drop. The trains then passes through the first inversion, a Vertical Loop and then goes thorugh a right U-turn. After that, the train passes a Double Crockscrew and goes through a helix, then passes a through a small turn and then stops at the brake run,finishing the course.

The trans for Comet were manufactured by Arrow Dynamics and each one consists of 7 cars with two rows of two seats secured by shoulder harnesses. The train can hold up to 28 riders per train.
Color Scheme[]
In 1989, the colors of the rails were white and the supports were painted blue. The trains were red with a yellow band in 1991 season. In 2000s, the coaster rails repainted into orange with the trains repainted red
