Cactus Coaster is an Allan Herschell Company sit-down kiddie roller coaster at Elitch Gardens, Denver, Colorado, USA.

History[]

The ride opened at Elitch Gardens on May 27, 1995 as Wild Kitten, after being used elsewhere.

In 1999, the Wild Kitten was moved to the new Looney Tunes Movie Town under the name Great Chase. When PARC Management bought the park from Six Flags in 2007, all Warner Bros. theming had to be removed from the park. With the removal of the Looney Tunes theming, the ride was renamed Tombstone Tumbler.

In 2008, the ride was renamed Cactus Coaster, the name it operate under today.

Design[]

The Cactus Coaster follows a standard layout with a single chain lift hill and several bunny hills making the oval shaped layout. The train completes three circuits of the track.

Trains[]

Single train with 3 cars. Riders are are arranged 2 across in 2 rows for a total of 12 riders.

Notes[]

Although some sources say this ride came from the old location of the park, it actually never operated there. However, it was used when it came to the park.
