History[]
The amusement park and accompanying caravan site is based at Unity Farm which the House Family bought just after World War II in 1946, and allowed camping on the farm. In the 1970s a golf course was added, which was followed by a swimming pool complex, bars and a bowling alley in the 1990s. The rides, roller coasters and concessions have also been growing gradually since the 1970s and the site attracts over 500,000 people per year.
The park invested £1.2 million on new rides in 2006, and in 2011 opened Astro Storm, a dark coaster bought from Pleasure Beach Blackpool.
