Big Bend was a steel roller coaster built by Schwarzkopf that was owned by Six Flags.
History[]
The Big Bend opened in 1971 at Six Flags Over Texas in Airlington, Texas, USA. It had brown rails, blue track ties and white supports. Later on, the track was painted all blue. On November 25, 1979, Big Bend closed. It was then sent to Six Flags St. Louis in Eureka, Missouri, USA and put in storage. At one point the trains could be seen under from the lift of Screamin' Eagle. At some point between then and 1989, the ride was scrapped.
Design[]
The ride had a layout consisting of long drops and wide banked turns. It also had two spiral electric lifts, one 81 feet tall and one 57 feet tall.
