The Big Bad Wolf was a suspended roller coaster that operated at Busch Gardens Williamsburg.
History[]
The ride was manufactured by Arrow Dynamics and opened at the park on June 15, 1984. It was closed on September 7, 2009 with no officially announced reason of closure. Increased maintenance costs after the bankruptcy of Arrow Dynamics were thought to blame. A train, track section, support materials and the sign package were donated to the The National Roller Coaster Museum for display. The Big Bad Wolf was succeeded by Verbolten, which reused the former's station, queue, and some footers.[1]
In October 2024, Busch Gardens announced another successor to Big Bad Wolf, named Big Bad Wolf: The Wolf's Revenge. This ride is an inverted coaster by Bolliger & Mabillard and uses the same station building as Drachen Fire. The ride will open in 2025.[2]
