Banshee is an inverted roller coaster located at Kings Island in Mason, Ohio.
History[]
The ride was manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard and opened on April 18, 2014 as the park's 14th coaster.
To build Banshee, the park removed Son of Beast, the former wooden hyper roller coaster at the park before the start of the 2013 season. Throughout that season, the park began hinting at its new attraction for 2014. On August 8, 2013, King's Island announced Banshee.[1]

Elements •Dive Loop |
Banshee begins by turning out of the station. Then the train makes its climb up the lift hill. The train then falls down the curved drop, and enters the dive loop. Its next inversion, the vertical loop, wraps around the lift hill. Immediately following this, the train enters a zero-g roll. Then comes the pretzel knot, another vertical loop, a spiral, an in-line roll, then a helix. Shortly following is the brake run.
Trains[]
This coaster features 3 trains with 8 cars per train. Riders are arranged 4 across in a single row in each car for a total of 32 riders per train.
