Backyardigans:Mission to Mars is a family wooden roller coaster,located in the German theme park, Movie Park Germany. The coaster opened in 1996 and was manufactured by the Dutch manfacturer, Vekoma.

Achterbahn at Rasti-Land shares the same layout.

History[]

The track was first presented in the public in 1996 as "Coyote's und Roadrunner's Achterbahn". It was themed to the catoon series "Road Runner" and was equipped with an artifical mountain and cliffs. In 2005, the coaster was renamed to the name "Rocket Rider Rollercoaster", but the theme remained unchanged. The most drastic transformation with the coaster accured in 2007 with the change of the subject area into the coaster went many changes and even transformed the name into the well known Backyardigans:Mission to mars.

Design and train[]

Intially, the train had rocket-shaped carriages reminiscent of the Road Runner, the colors of the trakc were orange andr red. In 2007,the rails ans supports were repainted green and white with the train repainted as well, to have a silver-orange paint. Two passengers can fit in one car of each train. The train consists of eight cars and can hold up to 19 people per train.
