Avonturenpark Hellendoorn is a small,quit well known dutch park,located near Hellendoorn in Overijssel.The park was founded in 1936 by Jan van den Berg and continues to operate under the managment of the Looping Group.
History[]
Van den Berg build a small house with terrace in 1936.To attract visitors to his house,he added some play equipments,which prove to be succeful and tow year later,Elf Provincien was born.after many years,the play house continued with expansions with severla playgrounds were added to the park.A constructions for a maze began in 1947 and in 1956 the park began working on a fairytale forest.
The first major attraction for the park will come in the 1970s and will be,well severla of those.the attractions will be a monorail,Casa Magnita,a sea lions show,Junlge Vaart and the Westrens Halls.
In 1978,Van gave his sons the possesion of the parks manager as well:Hans,Ben and Jan jr.The name got a change from Elf Provinence to the now known Avonturenpark Hellendoorn.In that time the park also got its first ever roller coaster,a Zierer Tivoli named Avonturenslang.
The park had rapid expansions from time to time,replacing the attractions with bigger and better ones.In 1998,Van's sons sold the plans to Leisurenplan and leisure plan sold the park in 2001 into a french company named Grevin & Cie,which at the time,originted from Parc Asterix near Paris,however,the shift in managents did not went well and leads into financial-legak jousts.Van and his kids had to take certain losts.Ayear later,Grevin & Cie became a part of the famous Compainge des Alpes,which looked for a wide base and to operate ski areas.
In the 21s century,the park got a massive makeover,some attractions were renamed,and the park expanded ever since.
Today,the park is under the managment of the Looping Group,which operated a variety of theme parks in the UK and France mostly.
